I partnered up with Lola in 2006 as I wanted to have another go at rock 'n' roll competitions, which I'd done in New Zealand previously, but hadn't done any comps for 5 years. I also wanted to learn some new ways to improve my dancing. I started off going to Lola's beginners and improvers classes too, and started with the basics all over again, and learnt quite a lot of things that enhanced my dancing. I made some new friends there too, which is always a good reason to join a dancing class.

I am quite happy now that I've achieved my goal. When I started doing comps again, of dancing with a good partner, getting into finals, and winning a medal was a bonus in a Jack & Jill section at the Pan Pacific Masters Games held on the Gold Coast November 2006.

I enjoyed learning the Belly Dancing too for the End of Year Party, for something different.
So if you want to learn dancing, or improve your dancing, I would recommend Lola as a Dance Instructor, to anyone.

Learning Rock n Roll and Ballroom dancing was so much fun with Lola. She was always making sure we were keeping up and never made us look silly if we couldn't catch on straight away. We felt confident to go out to dancing venues before too long. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere where we could meet lots of people as well.

Lola has been our teacher for well over 12months now both in private lessons and in classes.

She is a great trainer always gives 100% plus of herself, has a lot of patience, time and understanding with us (which is a big ask as we are not the easiest pair to teach)

Lola has given us an understanding on how important using the correct techniques help us move and dance well together.

We both really look forward to our private lesson each week because we know we will be greeted by this lovely lady who is always smiling and so welcoming when we get to lessons.

For me she has given me so much encouragement and the confidence to do better and the desire to become a really good dancer.

Lola is someone I really look up to and admire, and is such a talented lady.

Dear Lola,

Both Sue and I would like to thank you for putting the icing on our wedding cake by choreographing a wonderful routine just for us with our chosen song.

Wedding: Thursday 10-4-08

Shameer arrived in Australia from U.S.A. on Sunday 6-4-08. Samantha & Shameer had booked a 2 hour lesson with Lola on Monday 7 th and another 2 hour lesson on Tuesday 8th. Their wedding was on Thursday 10-4-08.

Message from Lola
Shameer sat and put his wedding shoes on and said he had no idea of dancing or what to do; I said "Leave it up to me".

Within 15 minutes he was dancing and informing Samantha of her steps and the distance they should have between them so as he was able to dance in a very comfortable manner. This couple were amazing to work with – I fell in love with their personality, they were easy to work with and wanted so much to dance to their favorite song "No One" by Alicia Keys, a beautiful choice of song for a couple who were so in Love. On their second day of lessons, I put in a couple of props into their routine which they were so delighted to do. The last hour was practice, practice and they were dancing like it was ‘their own' and it was specially created for a special couple. I will miss them and wish them well for a happy life together in U.S.A.

My husband and I (fiancée at the time) left our dance lessons to the last minute for our wedding. We showed up for our first salsa lesson 3 weeks before our wedding day. Lola was amazing! She put together a fabulous routine and worked with our individual styles. In 3 short weeks we went from not being able to take 3 steps together to “owning” the dance floor in a polished routine. The “sizzle” and the “dip” were just a few highlight that brought some cheers from the audience. We had a ball at the lessons !! Thanks Lola!!

Dancing for any guy can be a foreign thing, I myself was a bit unsure about it. I must say I genuinely enjoyed the lessons with Lola. She knew exactly what she was doing and worked with us to our wishes, to achieve in three weeks a fun and enjoyable dance that most people at our wedding thought of as the highlight of the night. The thing I enjoyed most about the lessons was how comfortable and relaxed Lola made the lessons and the knowledge and experience in dancing that she showed. I’ll remember all the laughs we had at the lessons.
